Back on Track: MOTIVATING YOURSELF TO WORKOUT

I have spent a couple of hours this morning weighing whether to workout or not. This is yet another off day for me but seriously I'm torn in between.

HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF TO WORKOUT

At times the possibility of unexpected off day haunts us like we can't get a way out. I have been experiencing this state of uncertainty a countless times, so if you ever find yourself at this state get out on the loop immediately! Here's how...

1. THINK ABOUT YOUR GOAL

Don't let off-days astray you from the path of your ultimate goal. Think how much you want to lose/maintain a weight to keep you moving. You've been sweating your way out this past days, weeks, or perhaps months, so why quit now?

2. IF YOU ARE HALF-HEARTED ABOUT IT, CUT BACK ON YOUR USUAL TIME

Off-days affect our performance. If your not in the mood to workout, cut back from your usual time. I spent my usual 45-minute workout to just 25 this morning. Cutting back is better than missing a day of routine.

3. STOP OVERTHINKING! ENJOY YOUR WORKOUT

You don't want to workout today but you just give in. STOP CONCENTRATING ON YOUR I-DON'T-WANT-TO-WORKOUT-DRAMA and just focus on your routine. You might not know it but 25 minutes has already lapsed and your done.

4. PUSH THE LIMITS ON YOUR ON-DAY

Make up for your off-days. You don't need to add extra set but rather amp up your usual performance. You'll feel zero regrets  for your cutting back and satisfied instead.
